Skepsis Network is a youth-led European network formally established in July 2024. It brings together 11 non-profit organisations from 11 countries, all committed to promoting critical thinking, civic engagement, and meaningful youth participation.
The network grew out of the Skepsis movement, which began in 2018 as a youth-led initiative following a youth exchange project held in Spain. (https://logos.ngo/skepsis-movement/who-if-not-we-are/). The project brought together young people from across Europe around the shared goal of promoting critical thinking and active civic participation. Inspired by this experience, the participants launched the Skepsis movement, which over the following years led to the implementation of numerous international and local projects (training courses, youth exchanges, partnerships) in cooperation with a growing circle of like-minded organisations. The movement was supported by dozens of NGOs across Europe and initially funded by Erasmus+ and Visegrad funds.
Although informal, this evolving collaboration effectively functioned as a transnational network—uniting youth organisations under a common vision and practice. In July 2024, this long-standing cooperation was formalised with the creation of Skepsis Network, bringing structure and sustainability to what had already become a recognised and active European youth initiative.
