Skepsis Network PNG

Skepsis Network is a youth-led European network formally established in July 2024. It brings together 11 non-profit organisations from 11 countries, all committed to promoting critical thinking, civic engagement, and meaningful youth participation.

The network grew out of the Skepsis movement, which began in 2018 as a youth-led initiative following a youth exchange project held in Spain. (https://logos.ngo/skepsis-movement/who-if-not-we-are/). The project brought together young people from across Europe around the shared goal of promoting critical thinking and active civic participation. Inspired by this experience, the participants launched the Skepsis movement, which over the following years led to the implementation of numerous international and local projects (training courses, youth exchanges, partnerships) in cooperation with a growing circle of like-minded organisations. The movement was supported by dozens of NGOs across Europe and initially funded by Erasmus+ and Visegrad funds.

Although informal, this evolving collaboration effectively functioned as a transnational network—uniting youth organisations under a common vision and practice. In July 2024, this long-standing cooperation was formalised with the creation of Skepsis Network, bringing structure and sustainability to what had already become a recognised and active European youth initiative.

Our objectives

  1. Promoting critical thinking and civic engagement among youth.
  2. Countering disinformation and fostering democratic values.
  3. Supporting active youth participation in political and civic life.
  4. Developing joint activities, initiatives, and policy advocacy at local, national, and European levels.
  5. Facilitating mutual exchange, capacity-building, and visibility of youth-led work.

How do we work?

The network collaborates through:
  • Erasmus+ and ESC projects
  • Transnational training and exchanges
  • Online communication and joint campaigns
  • Youth representation

We are working offline and online to involve as many people as we can into knowledge we are spreading.

Offline part

We are implementing international projects in different European countries and beyond together with young people. There we are talking about:

  • how to deal with tons of data;
  • how to be able not to spoil knowledge you already have;
  • how to use Internet correctly;
  • how to avoid misconceptions, fallacies, hoaxes, biases and mythes;
  • how to be media literate.

Besides that, we are carrying out workshops with the aim to spread the experience we have with larger audience.

Online part

For the fact of extreme importance of social media, we are posting content on theme of critical thinking and its derivatives there to get inform more people. Social platform are helpful tool to get closer to fake news and mythes that appear. You can use our social media to be more aware.
